Rolling reboots across all OSC clusters beginning 09/16/2026

OSC systems staff will execute a rolling reboot across all active compute clusters (Pitzer, Ascend, and Cardinal) beginning Wednesday, September 16.

The license server hosted by OSU Arts and Sciences is currently inaccessible by our clusters.

Problems with the nightly backup on ess filesystem

We are having problems with the nightly backup on ess filesystem, causing missing backups of the /fs/ess file system since Monday, August 9th. Backups of home directory and /fs/project are normal. 

We are working with vendor on this problem and will provide more information once we know more.
