Schrödinger is an application that uses a FlexNet license server. To run a job, the application needs to check out licenses from the server and check it back in once the job is completed. However, we've identified an issue where licenses are not properly checked back in occasionally.
This problem is due to communication issues between the license server and the compute nodes. A remedy suggestion is posted by the vendor [1], but it hasn't been effective for our clusters. We are actively working to resolve this issue.
As a result, your job may fail even if you use the correct license flag [2]. If your job fails due to this license issue, please re-submit it.
