Columbus, Ohio -- May 20, 2002 -- This week, Progress Forge introduces its first training programs in support of Star Bridge Systems'® VIVA® 2.0 development environment.

Due for imminent release, VIVA® 2.0 is a comprehensive, system-level design compiler software system that works in concert with Star Bridge Hypercomputers®. Hypercomputers are high performance systems that perform massively parallel operations with greater speed and efficiency than conventional designs.

This first-ever VIVA 2.0 training class is being held from May 20 to May 24 at OSC (Ohio Supercomputer Center), and includes remote links to NASA facilities at Langley Research Center and the Marshall Space Flight Center. Other attendees include personnel from Lockheed Martin Corporation and OSC.

Training is being presented by its authors, Tyler Reed, Progress Forge CEO, and Sam Brown, Director of Library Development at Star Bridge Systems.

Training content will be available soon on Progress Forge's new training website, Progresstrack.net. Progresstrack.net is a community of VIVA developers working together to address development challenges on this cutting-edge technology. In addition to training content, Progresstrack.net includes electronic forums on VIVA issues, technology briefings and shared libraries of VIVA applications.

Tyler Reed, Progress Forge CEO, said, "This is an important milestone for Progress Forge. This training has been months in the making and it's great to share VIVA's power with programmers who are coming to it for the first time. We look forward to major market breakthroughs with Progresstrack.net accelerating development of new applications for Hypercomputers."

Sam Brown, Star Bridge Director of Library Development, said, "VIVA® 2.0 provides major new functionality and I'm very pleased to be part of this first training class. It's a great opportunity to explain firsthand how VIVA is more powerful than ever."
