Application Performance Profiling & Debugging
_____________________________________________

For application developers
We cover:
•Powerful techniques to systematically discover performance bottlenecks.
•Measuring and improving application performance.
•Scientific debugging – applying best practices to fix difficult bugs at all scales.
This hands-on course uses the Allinea Forge tool suite - including the DDT debugger and MAP profiler:
•Sample code will be provided - but having access to participant’s code will be better!
•For MPI, CUDA, OpenMP and Intel Xeon Phi applications.

Performance Optimization
Use Allinea MAP to get your application to run faster and scale higher:
•Profile your code and see the bottlenecks and the performance opportunity.
Explore performance problems including:
•MPI and work imbalance.
•The memory wall and vectorization
•OpenMP synchronization costs.

Scientific Debugging
Learn the art and the science of high performance debugging:
•Real examples using Allinea DDT and hands-on application code.
•Using an advanced & modern debugging tool can save weeks of time.
•Learn the techniques behind debugging to will shorten the time spent debugging even further.

Workshop is being offered at the University of Oklahoma, Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) is hosting a remote site.
