Students explore technology at Ohio Supercomputer Center’s Summer Institute

SI_logo_0.pngSixteen high school students from around Ohio will be attending the Ohio Supercomputer Center’s 24th annual Summer Institute (SI) on June 16-28, 2013, at The Ohio State University. These academically gifted students, chosen from 50 applicants, will engage in university-level research while working with some of the nation’s best supercomputers.

Ohio Supercomputer Center Hosts Python Programming Workshop

COLUMBUS, Ohio – February 15, 2007 – Learn about Python, one of today’s most popular mid-level programming languages for scientists and engineers.

The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) is hosting a workshop, Python Programming for High Performance Computing, on February 20 - 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in its BALE theater. The workshop is geared toward those wanting to learn about Python but have never used it before. Attendees should have some programming experience.

Carroll High School Student Receives Award for Excellence in Computing Technology

Columbus, Ohio -- June 14, 1999 -- Ohio is in good hands if State Science Day resembles any indication of the future.

Joseph M. Kessler, a junior at Carroll High School, received the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) Award for his exceptional project entered at State Science Day 1999. Kessler was one of three students chosen for this prestigious award.
