FFmpeg is a free software project, the product of which is a vast software suite of libraries and programs for handling video, audio, and other multimedia files and streams.
The following versions of FFmpeg are available on OSC clusters:
Blender is the free and open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.
Wine is a open-source compatibility layer that allows Windows applications to run on Unix-like operating system without a copy of Microsoft Windows.
OSC is refreshing the software stack for Owens and Ruby on September 4, 2018. This will be done by a rolling reboot. During the software refresh, some default versions are updated to be more up-to-date. VMD is a visulaization program for the display and analysis of molecular systems.

Ncview is a visual browser for netCDF format files. Typically you would use ncview to get a quick and easy, push-button look at your netCDF files. You can view simple movies of the data, view along various dimensions, take a look at the actual data values, change color maps, invert the data, etc.

NCAR Graphics is a Fortran and C based software package for scientific visualization. NCL (The NCAR Command Language), is a free interpreted language designed specifically for scientific data processing and visualization. It is a product of the Computational & Information Systems Laboratory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
ParaView is an open-source, multi-platform application designed to visualize data sets of size varying from small to very large. ParaView was developed to support distributed computational models for processing large data sets and to create an open, flexible user interface.
