Summer Wang, Ph.D., is the Senior Client Engineer of the HPC Client Services team at the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC). Wang provides guidance and technical expertise to the help desk team to achieve operational excellence in support of OSC clients. She works with OSC clients closely to help them better utilize current services, as well as to identify gaps and contribute to the deployment of new services.
Wang also serves as the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) champion to lead implementation of the OKRs framework within the organization. In addition, she leads OSC’s Youth Watershed Summer Institute (YWSI) for middle school students.
Previously, Wang was a Subject Matter Expert in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for the National Digital Engineering & Manufacturing Consortium (NDEMC), a pilot program funded by the Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration.
Wang earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Science and Technology of China in 2005. She received a master’s degree and doctoral degree in nuclear engineering at The Ohio State University in 2007 and 2010, respectively.
