Deadline to Join OSC at SC07 Fast Approaching

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Jun 27, 2007) —

The Ohio Supercomputer Center invites faculty, researchers, graduate students and undergraduates to be a part of its "Showcase of Ohio Research" exhibit at this year's SC07, the premier international conference on high performance computing, networking and storage. SC07 is held November 1016, 2007, in Reno, Nevada.

The deadline for application has been extended to Monday, July 2, 2007, at 5 p.m. ET. The URLs to the appropriate application links are listed below.

With a rigorous technical program and vibrant exhibit floor, SC07 (http://sc07.supercomputing.org) is the foremost place to network with more than 10,000 fellow researchers, learn about novel applications, interdisciplinary projects and educational approaches and showcase your research to a national audience, including representatives from organizations such as the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Defense, IBM and an international cast of universities and
education centers.

The Ohio Supercomputer Center is seeking participants for the following opportunities:

Research Showcase: The work of faculty, researchers and graduate students will be highlighted at OSC's exhibitor booth.  In addition to exposure to key national audiences, participants will:

  • Present and demonstrate their work as part of OSC's Research Demonstration at OSC's booth
  • Receive free exhibitor registration
  • Have their work promoted to the media and interested audiences by OSC at SC07 and beyond
  • Be considered for upcoming OSC publications, such as the annual research report

Virtual Poster Display: If researchers are unable to attend SC07 yet would like exposure at the event, their work may be included on the OSC plasma display that highlights current research.

To be considered for inclusion for either of these opportunities, please complete the short, onepage form located at http://www.osc.edu/research/sc/showcase/research.shtml

SC07 OSC Student Research Competition: This category is for undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students. The winner will:
